I click on 'add your rss feed' and enter

The website says ok, and i create a channel called "Cranky Mediafly users" and check it (assuming the feed will be there)
But nothing on the WDTV Live.

I look on the website under "my shows" it says "Cranky Mediafly users" has 0 content.

I look on the page (http://www.mediafly.com/MyShows/Cranky+Mediafly+users)
it says

Episode Subscriptions 0 : 0
Search Subscriptions 0 : 0
Total Subscriptions 1 : 0"

I have no idea what that means.

At the bottom of the page it says "Cranky Geeks - Newest Episode: Wed June 23, 2010. 10:25 AM"

Which is NOT the case, look at the feed, the newest episode is July 28th!

So not only isn't it showing me any episodes, its not even aware that there are any there...?

I am having this trouble quite a bit, the latest being today's episode of the following show:

http://www.mediafly.com/Podcasts/Feeds/Front_Page

It plays about 30 seconds and then jumps to the next episode, even though the episode is over 8 minutes long. It showed that the episode was downloaded all the way, but the progress bar shows white as it plays like it isn't really downloaded. I tried deleting it and adding to preloader again but it didn't work. It still will only play the first 30 seconds. This is not the only podcast I have this issue with, but this one has the issue quite a bit.

Thanks for the answer.
Yes, if I hit cancel and play, the podcast will resume. I didn't encounter that behavior with other podcast player applications, so I guess it is a bug with your app.
Thanks for the workaround.

Sophie -
I was able to reproduce this pause, but if you hit cancel on the wifi popup and then hit play, the video starts up again.
Is that what you are seeing ?

I was unable to reproduce it with audio only podcasts, the popup didn't stop the audio.

A workaround for this would be to go to iphone's settings / wifi and turn "ask to join networks" to "off."
I am not sure if this is a bug with our app or simply how the iphone is meant to behave with the "ask to join" turned on.

Thanks for the post

Sorry you are correct - this bug has been reported to iPhone team for fix. It plays fine on the ipad, but doesn't play on iphone 3 or 4 .

Actually cnet changed the feed title metadata so it's super long, and this is why it's not playing on phones now.

Thanks for reporting this.

Mine does not play this feed either. It is very strange that it used to work in prior versions and now it does not. The other video feeds that I have work fine.
I already tried uninstalling it completely and reinstalling and nothing. :(

Sophie - You can remove episodes via the show page, just click on the "remove" button next to each episode (in your case you would have 3) and it will remove them from your playlist. To get to the show page rollover the show card and hit the "i" button in the upper left of the card.

you wrote
"In the New (24 hours) channel, will I only see the podcasts that were posted in that time frame? And when it gets older than that, it will disappear from that channel?"

The answer is yes and yes. Bear in mind you can still find episodes that are say, 25 hours old, in the pop / my channels (they are not deleted)

Re : Channels not displayed on iphone -
We are in the process of reviewing what channels show up where and the logic behind it.
I assume you want the iphone app to have the All + 7 days channel turned back on again ?

Thanks

I have Buzz Out Loud (BOL) subscription on the iPhone app and it used to work fine but after the latest upgrade (3.0.0.77) it does not play anymore. You click play and nothing happens. All other videos still play. Why is it broken on the latest version if it used to work? Any workarounds?

You can see the subscription here:
