Jason posted how to do that three months ago in the mediafly shutting down announcement - Here is what he posted via cut and paste -
To export your existing OnAir subscriptions into an OPML format, just follow these steps:

1.) Go to onair.mediafly.com and log in to your OnAir account.
2.) In your browser address bar, paste the following link: onair.mediafly.com/opml.aspx
3.) You will be prompted to save or view the xml file, which you can then import into your preferred podcatcher.

If you experience any issues please let us know.

One other thing I was thinking of doing is to use Yahoo Pipes to create a combined RSS feed of all my (say) music feeds and sort it chronologically. Then I would subscribe to it from the Squeezebox.

At least you can play all the feeds in one go, even if there would be no way of marking them as heard, or deleting them off the list.

http://pipes.yahoo.com/pipes/

Here is a feature request for the Logitech to do something about MediaFly on the Squeezebox. The more people vote, the higher up it will appear on the devs' priority list.

I agree with you there. I did prepare my squeezebox by adding all my mediafly rss feeds to the podcast feature of mysqueezebox.com but that is no good as the way it plays podcasts with the podcast player is it plays 1 podcast from the list you subscribe to and then it repeats that same podcast over and over again until you stop it.

They really need to work on it to make it work right.

So far I have found a way to juryrig a mediafly type setup. First I download all my new podcasts each day using feedemon for windows to itunes.

Itunes puts all my podcasts in to a special smart playlist that removes any played podcasts from it.

Then I use that computer with a copy of plex media server to play the itunes smart playlists in the plex app on my google tv :)

How is everyone else coping with the upcoming loss of Mediafly?

Thanks for the reply Trallyus. All I can say is it looks like the ignorant Roku users got what they wanted. Now they have nothing. I would not mind advertisements since it is (was) a free service. Sad thing is I will not watch any Mediafly branded material and the so called 'Enterprises' will be the ones who will suffer. Again the Enteprise funds would have been able to support the free service to consumers, but Corproate greed and $$$ got in the way. Such a shame when these compnaies fail to see who got them pretty much where they are today and this is how they treat them. I have since found another service, so good riddance to you Mediafly! You don't even have the decency to reply. Good Bye! And yes thanks for your service while it lasted. You blew it!

Technically they tried advertising in the past and a lot of the users were not pleased with it - specifically roku users were quite vocal in the past about having to watch car commercials before their episodes of twit.tv so that may be why they are not responding.

It may not sound right to us since all this time we enjoyed the service for free but they have to make money somehow so I can see why they are going the big business route and not supporting the old free user base .

Snapstream did the same thing with beyond tv as well in the past. All I can say is good luck in your future ventures Mediafly/Onair.

OK, I have enjoyed using your product and in fact have told everyone I know about it, they have also become registered users. It has been a great product with a unique niche!

I think you are making a grave mistake killing OnAir as you could continue servicing your many fans and followers perhaps with an advertising model as I for one would not mind using the product and seeing occasional avertisements if this were to keep the product alive! In fact I think you could easily continue to grow the product well beyond your existing userbase and easily fund it as well as becoming profitable.

Such a shame that greed and $$$ may have made you arise to this decision. Surely the income the enterprise business will bring in would have been ample money to support the OnAir product.

I will make sure to not use any products branded by Mediafly in the future. Thanks while it lasted. Now off to find a comparable RSS Media solution that will also let you keep your profile for your many platforms and devices. Anyone have any suggestions?

I guess there are two overall features that MediaFly will cease providing:

1) Building channels out of RSS feeds, so that all you, say, music-related podcasts are together in one feed, and you can browse it chronologically. I think that Yahoo Pipes can be used to build a single, processed RSS feed, which will look like a MediaFly channel (say combining a bunch of other feeds, only the last few weeks' content, etc). Then you can subscribe to that from whichever devices through the appropriate podcasting solution.

2) Synchronising between devices: what would be needed would be some way of removing an item in the above RSS feed when you've finished listening. A script running on some machine that would reprocess and modify the RSS feed. I have no idea whether such a thing would exist.

I am not sure what is happening, but lately my feed is having double versions of each podcast in my All (Mix) feed when I view it on the squeezebox radio as well as the mediafly organizer.

Also when trying to play the Popular Channels feed / Music feed on the squeezebox radio instead of it playing 1 podcast after another like it used to, now it only plays the podcast I selected and then stops. I am not sure if this is my problem or if it is a reproducible problem so I thought I would report it.

Also sometimes when I go to write in the forums , they seem gone and all I see is a white page or blank page.

I don't get it. All I know is that I watch several shows on Roku after I added the channel via the Channel Store. So what does this mean?

Several weeks ago, NBC broke away from the Roku Newscaster channel, meaning I can't get full eps of Maddow from them anymore (the NBC channel is only clips, not actual whole programs). So I figured I'd get it all on MediaFly--amongst other programming I found and enjoy on MediaFly.

So what exactly does this mean? No more MF on Roku? Will someone clarify that to this podcast/device moron?

Thanks.
