Added some "Adult" video and made an "Adult channel" This works fine on the web but when pulling over to the Roku the channel is there but there isn't any content just an empty icon.

I wonder if this might be the same problem I have with
http://feeds.feedburner.com/cultofkungfu
and
http://feeds.feedburner.com/cultofuhf
and now
http://g4tv.com/heavy/podcasts/48/G4-Presents-Heavy-Comedy-Shorts.xml
as well.I hope this is an oversite as yesterday I watched a number of episodes from Revision3. And they didn't seem to blink when dropping the F-Bomb and or drinking beer on DiggNation and Hak5.
It would suck if only the little independents got penalized for this.

We currently have explicit content blocked such as adult content becaue of agreements with the device companies. But language explicit is a different category we are reviewing.

A shame, suddenly my excitement about Mediaflys usefulness as a way to get content I want on my roku device has plummeted.
Porn is one thing. But I can't imagine how silly Kung Fu movies and edgy comedy as that provided in Cult of UHF and G4s HEAVY could be considered in the same league.
I mean I can watch R rated horror already on Netflix and they still have the Kama Sutra available for streaming, for educational purposes of course. ;P
Is there any way for the publishers of these feeds to resubmit them and or find out why they are labeled as explicit?

Then that explains my situation with the Peter Himmelman/Furious World podcasts as well. For some reason those are marked as explicit (at least on itunes) though at worst there might be some rare langauge profanity from someone on the show, nothing else!!! Just seeing the word "explicit" in connection with Peter Himmelman is hilarious...

We have eased the restriction on this. You should now be able to get language explicit content.
However, because RSS does not distinguish the types of explicit we need to flag it as language explicit on our back end. So, if you have a language explicit show just send us the MEDIAFLY WEBSITE URL for that show and we will review.

Great! Here's the URL for the Peter Himmelman / Furious World show:

Thanks very much!

ok. tell me if that works now. It might take a few minutes for the change to propagate.
Posted 8 months ago # -
So far it still shows up as empty on my TV. Should I try deleting the show from the computer and then re-adding it?
Posted 8 months ago # -
I noticed that the Furious World title screen on the Mediafly website no longer bears the word "Explicit" but each individual show episode still says "Explicit", and no episodes have shown up on my TV via Roku....

Thanks. we are still working to ease the restrictions...

The adam corolla podcast is listed as explicit and is not showing up on my roku. It is an audio podcast shouldnt that come through since the only thing explicit about it is language?

We rolled out an update that allows language explicit shows to get through to the Roku. Please verify with your personal devices and see if you are getting the shows you would expect.
Just a reminder, like Carson said in a post above, sometimes the publishers don't mark their shows as language explicit (instead they are marked as generic explicit). We try to correct that on our end, but if we miss any feeds, let us know about it and we will mark it appropriately.

Would you mind checking on the Kevin Pollack's Chat Show video podcast? This is marked Explicit but I'm pretty sure that's for language only. It plays fine on the website but isn't showing up on the Roku. Thanks very much!

Sure, Can you send the Mediafly Show page URL and we can look into it.
thanks,
CarsonPosted 7 months ago # -
def456g7, I marked it as language explicit, expect it to be coming through to your roku shortly.

Cult of UHF is now showing up on my Roku
http://www.mediafly.com/Podcasts/Feeds/Cult_of_Kung_FuBut what about Meet Cleaver Theatre?
http://www.mediafly.com/Podcasts/Feeds/Meet_Cleaver_Theatre
As far as I can tell, it's only language EXPLICIT.Posted 7 months ago # -
Penny Arcade, Drunk Tank, and Meet Cleaver Theatre should be coming through for you on the Roku.

Hello, I just added my audio podcast to Mediafly, it is language explicit and it does not show up on the Roku player.
Here is the feed link:
http://feeds2.feedburner.com/26thHourRadioAny help would be appreciated.

it should be on roku now, thanks

Not sure if you were referring to my show, but it still isn't showing up through Roku. I reset the box and it still isn't showing. It shows the channel but not the show.
Also, the show plays fine through the Mediafly site.
Mediafly page:

Sorry for the double post, it is now showing up on Roku but only shows two episodes from the feed and they are not the most recent. it is the shows from 9/25/09 and 10/02/09 only.
The show appears to play fine on the Mediafly website, this seems to be a Roku specific thing.
Thanks for all the help with everything so far.

Thanks for the info - Yes I was referring to you show and I'll be looking into this tomorrow morning - should be a quick resolution.

Thanks, but it looks to be working fine now. Must have been delayed or something.
Sorry to bug you so much.
Thanks again, I really appreciate it.

This is frustrating me too because I wanted to listen to my own podcast on Roku, but it won't go through because of the explicit rating I put on the show for language. Could you grant the exception for this as well? My podcast is the Animalcast:

wandmlaw - Sorry for the delay - we've been really busy here.
